The Executive Division houses the executive staff, including the Attorney General. The Chief Deputy Attorney General oversees all legal staff for the Office and keeps abreast of the day-to-day legal matters. The scheduling and secretarial staff serve the Attorney General directly.

The Executive Division keeps the Attorney General informed of all legal matters in the office to ensure that he is fully informed when making any decision.
Legislative Affairs Section The Legislative Affairs Section drafts and coordinates the Attorney General’s legislative agenda.
Solicitor General Section The Solicitor General serves as the chief appellate lawyer for Alabama’s state government. The Solicitor General is responsible for all appeals in which the State is a party before the U.S. Supreme Court, the Alabama Supreme Court, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
Public Relations Section The Public Relations Office coordinates public functions of the Attorney General and handles all press activity.
Constituent Services and Public Hotline Section This Section mainly addresses questions, requests, comments, and complaints from the general public as well as federal, state, and local public officials and governmental agencies. The Constituent Services and Public Hotline Section evaluates each call to determine if the Attorney General’s Office should or can take any action and if so, directs the caller to the appropriate division, section, or person. Callers with issues outside the Attorney General’s jurisdiction are referred to other public agencies.
Law Enforcement Coordinator The Attorney General’s Office Law Enforcement Coordinator acts as a liaison to all levels of law enforcement in the state of Alabama. The coordinator organizes the annual statewide law enforcement summit training which covers issues on constitutional and criminal procedures; laws of arrest, search and seizure; and changes in the state's criminal and traffic laws. The Law Enforcement Coordinator reviews and answers most constituent complaints lodged against local and county law enforcement agencies, on behalf of the Attorney General. Upon request, the coordinator provides assistance to law enforcement agencies. When the Attorney General is unable to attend certain events, the coordinator will attend law enforcement conferences and association meetings on his behalf in order to stay abreast of issues affecting law enforcement.
